We are a women owned, family-run business established in 2014. At The Green Seed we have set our focus on Sustainable Design + Planting projects and our Certified Naturally Grown Nursery. Besides sustainability another core value is the quality of our work. At The Green Seed we love what we do and we work hard to do it well. Our commitment to providing exceptional designs that are detailed and unique, is why we have chosen to stay small.
A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expends effort on them.
nursery
CERTIFIED NATURALLY GROWN
We opened our Certified Naturally Grown nursery in 2019 to start producing sustainable plants for our landscape design projects. This extension of our business allows us to provide plants for our design jobs in the most sustainable way possible. We grow a variety of ground covers, vines, perennials and shrubs, many of which are native plants. Our plants are never treated with any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Our earth-friendly plants are now available to the public and to retail garden centers and landscape professionals (email us for more info).
Open Gardens
The Green Seed Gardens will be open for a self guided tour. This is a wonderful unique opportunity to look at examples of plants, different types of hardscaping, mulch, rain-gardens, meadowscaping and more. This is an amazing visual opportunity to see newly planted gardens and mature established gardens. A selection of our plants will be available for purchase.
